It feels like you are a million miles away Drifting further like a satellite in space It feels like you are a million miles away Even though I am so close to you The game goes on, it never ends The best thing we can hope for is A new beginning Left alone to rebuild by ourselves But there is so many pieces It feels like you are a million miles away Drifting further like a satellite in space It feels like you are a million miles away Even though I am so close to you Why must we keep this up? It never ends My friend this goes on To the bitter end It feels like you are a million miles away Drifting further like a satellite in space It feels like you are a million miles away Even though I am so close to you

When was the last time that you Drove too far down north Grand? Found yourself in a neighborhood That even black people are afraid to live in. Have you ever dodged a bullet Living on a state street? Yeah When was the last time that You said something got to change? Saint Louis is fucking dead Let’s bring it back to life Who do you know that is Addicted to the sting of the needle? Or do you turn a blind eye And search for answers in the back of your bible? Do you sit up high judging All the people that didn’t leave the city? While your daughter gets molested by Her uncle in your house in west county. Saint Louis is fucking dead Let’s bring it back to life So much for the little people The weak won’t inherit the Earth Saint Louis is fucking dead Let’s bring it back to life

Licking these wounds They taste so sweet The mask I wear Makes me complete I have this cancer inside of me I am so sick of my circuitry And I’ve never felt like this before My skin so thin, my muscles weak I have never felt like this before I am so sick of my circuitry Always trying Never winning I keep on crawling As my faith betrays me We are all born broken machines I’m a broken machine The walls they are Closing in on me I have lost my eyes Now I can’t see Death is the door And I’m the key. I am so sick of my circuitry And I’ve never felt like this before My skin so thin, my muscles weak I have felt like this before I am so sick of my circuitry Always trying Never winning I keep on crawling As my faith betrays me We are all born broken machines I am a broken machine

Up on the hill, the roads Twist and they turn The passages freeze over Entombing all passengers Into the darkness Black as your soul A beacon of light That swallows you whole So how do you leave? How do you get where you need to go? When your only ride is What the devil brought home Show me the future As I shiver and shake Can't you see I'm working? How Much can one man take? A very willful boy Beyond any doubt A bat to the skull Wendy let me out So how do you leave? How do you get to where you need to go? When your only ride is What the devil brought home How do you know? Don't open the door The carpet, the floor And the one that you love is What the Devil Brought home Into the night the plot thickens and it stirs So bury the hatchet Like a good caretaker Behold the darkness Black as the snow A maze of the mind That swallows you whole So how do you leave? How do you get to where you need to go? When your only ride is What the devil brought home How do you know? Don't open the door The carpet, the floor And the one that you love is What the Devil Brought home

I look at the sky And all I see is fire I close my eyes And scream this war is a liar I would have walked with you To the end of the world You walked to the sun And saw me crawling out the window I called out “you’re the one” And begged to you Please don’t go I would have walked with you To the end of the world I used to see you standing there Right next to me But you’re gone You were wrong I would have walked with you To the end of the world I look to the sky And all I see is fire I close my eyes Because now I’m alone I would have walked with you To the end of the world
